Tuwajibike is a three episode drama pegged on good governance interlinked with institutionalized values of transparency and accountability of public sector. The play has been scripted and characterized by 5 centuries theatre group and produced by Mtaani community radio in Dagoretti.
5Cs was formed way back in the year 1995 as community theatre group. Its name was derived from their first script entitled 5 Centuries of Colonialism which depicted how European nations colonized Africa. The membership was drawn from youth groups in the slums of Korogocho and Kibera who were carrying out human rights programs within their areas namely; Kairos, Shangwe ,Kocoyo and slum Dolphin.
Prior to group formation, they were subjected to an audition that was attended by 100 young thespians at Flack house South B courtesy of 4Cs under the legal cover of Kenya Human Rights Commission. A group of 20 thespians was identified and formed the group 5Cs.The group has traversed the entire country with Interactive Participatory Community Education Theatre plays on Human Rights, Governance,Democracy,Constitution and Constitutionalism, Nationhood and Nationalism, Gender and Gender mainstreaming among others.
